Business Meeting Highlights:
Saturday, April 24 , Eastridge Christian Assembly, Issaquah
Major items of business were ratification of Constitution & Bylaws, election of Board of Directors and presentation of possible properties.
Constitution:
After much discussion, adjustments and fine tuning, a final draft of the Impact NW constitution and bylaws was adopted. A complete revised version will be available for viewing on this site soon. Two major points which were agreed upon are that the annual business meeting will be held in the Fall (rather than the Spring), and the Board of Directors will have 7 members (instead of the proposed 6).
Board Election:
Seven individuals were elected to serve on the Board of Directors. This being the first official Board election, the voting was set to establish staggered terms creating Board rotation.
The new board with year terms is as follows:
2 year term - Angela Courtemanche
3 year term - Larry Norris, Barry Hollmer
4 year term - Gabe VanKempen, Roy Norman
5 year term - Rick Kilbourn, Dean Kimber
PROPERTIES:
A power point presentation was given showing current properties available slong the I-90 corridor in Central Washington. It was noted that the number of available properties is limited. There were a couple that warrant further investigation. The Board will make inquiries to gather more information. Future developments will be posted on this website.
SUPPORT:
PRAYER - Members are encouraged to pray for wisdom and guidance in the property search and for the decisions that will need to be made.
FINANCIAL - The orgainization is in full "fund raising" mode. Initial needs are for funds to provide promotional materials, insurance, and simple administrative costs. As property comes available, there will be the obvious need for money to aquire the land and then to add basic improvements (water, power, roads).
DONATIONS - Cash donations are fully tax deductible. Checks are to be made to Impact Northwest and can me mailed to the address at the bottom of this page. Thank you for prayerfully considering a contribution.
PROMOTIONAL T-SHIRTS: A limited number of promotional T-Shirts are being made as a fund raiser.
Shirts will be available for $20.00 at various camps this summer until gone. Shirts can be mail ordered for $25.00. Please specify color (red or green) and the size (L, XL, 2XL, 3XL) with your check. And include the mailing address. Nice shirt for a worthy cause!
