About Us
IMPACT NORTHWEST is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in Washington State.
Our purpose is to provide camp facilites for youth organizations to use in building the next generation of young adults through positive experiences, self esteem and character building events which will challenge them to grow in moral character and personal responsibility. Organizations such as Royal Rangers, Scouting, civic clubs, church youth groups, etc. are some of the types of organizations that can benefit from these camp experiences.
The support base for Impact NW is currently over 200 individuals who are themselves involved in some sort of ministry with children or youth in their community or church. These individuals have come to believe there is a need for a quality camp facility to be located in Central Washington along the I-90 corridor geared for youth activities. The focus of this camp will be "Ministry" and will become a reality by the Grace of God plus the sweat and prayer of His people. Everyone is a volunteer, including the Board of Directors.
The inaugural membership meeting took place September, 2009 in Issaquah, WA. Over the next 5 months organizational documents were written, a foundational Board of Directors was elected, and the IRS non-profit status was achieved. The GOAL for 2010 is to acquire property in Central Washington area with location, terrain, and acreage suitable to fulfill the camp objectives. Property search is underway, with a number of possible sites identified. Divine Guidance is needed now as those properties are viewed and analyzed.
