| Board of Directors Dean Kimber, Shoreline WA. Dean grew up in Longview, WA attending Columbia Heights Assembly of God. He graduated cum laude from Northwest University, Kirkland in 1977 receiving his Bachelor's Degree, and then served 13 years as a Children's pastor. Since then, he has continued as a volunteer in church activities and every year serving as a staff member at the NW Ranger Camp. In all, he has been involved in Christian ministry for over 30 years. As a boy, Dean enjoyed Boy Scouts achieving Star Rank, and earning two of the prestigious "50 Miler" Awards for wilderness backpacking. In high school he was a 3 sport letterman. As a young adult served as Youth Camp counselor and sports director at numerous Youth camps. Currently, Dean lives in Shoreline attending Calvary Christian Assembly in Seattle. He is married to Theresea Kimber and has 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren.
Rick Kilbourn, Buckley, WA Rick writes: I haven't grown up yet, but live in Buckley with my lovely wife, Heidi, of 14 yrs and our two young men sons, Tom and Matt. I was saved in my early 20's at Calvary Temple in South Prairie, WA ( Thank You Doug Hinkle ). I worked Industrial construction till 2001 when God had us start our own construction company. The first day of business was Sept 10th 2001, then the faith started. I have been growing more involved in the Ranger mentoring program as my boys are getting older,12 and 13 now. Since 2000 I have been a Fire Commissioner in with the local Fire Dept. making policy level decisions similar to those that IMPACT NW is approaching. I attend Mt. Rainier Christian Center.
Larry Norris, Warm Beach, WA Larry Norris grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon attending Hillsboro First Assembly of God, Valley Full Gospel Church and Beaverton Christian Church. He has been an active member and leader in various Christian Ministries with youth programs, such as Royal Rangers and Youth Ministries. Larry grew up participating in the Boy Scout program and Royal Rangers. Larry is currently involved as the Royal Ranger Outpost Coordinator in his local church. Larry has 3 children, 2 very busy teen age daughters, Brianna and McKenzie and a son, Larry III, who is involved with Royal Rangers. He is also very active with the Christian school and Public High School that his children attend. Larry helps the Private Christian School by Administering their School Networked Computer systems, providing guidance and direction so that the students and faculty are able to fully utilize these resources. He's active with the many various athletic activities that his children participate in. Larry is also helping the private Christian school establish and launch an Athletic Booster program.
Roy Norman, Seattle, WA Roy was born Seattle and raised in Burien, having the good fortune of being raised in a pentecostal family and not having to experiance a lot of trash in life to get rid of. Growing up, Roy attended Bethel Temple in Seattle and the Bethel youth camps. He graduated for Bethel's Bible school in 1976. Roy as been married 34 years to his beautiful wife, Doreen. They have 2 adult children. In 1986 Roy enrolled his children in Royal Rangers and Missionettes when they were in K and 2nd grade, at Calvary Temple, Seattle, becuase his home church didn't have children's programs. In 1991 he opened Rangers minsitry at Bethel Chapel in Mountlake Terrace and has served as Senior Commander there until 2008. Roy currentoy is involved with high school boys at Edmonds Open Bible as the Explorer group leader. Other ministry areas Roy has worked with are the worship band, heading the sound team, and working as chef in the kithchen. Roy says, "I love working with the camps and plan on continuing untill God changes my direction". Gabe VanKempen, Renton, WA Gabe was born and raised in a pentecostal family, having had the pleasure of serving with them as a missionary overseas in Western Europe. Gabe spent 15 years doing investments in various financial groups and 20 additional years in the health services industry, concurrently volunteering as an instructor/leader in Boy Scouts of America. Gabe attends Sound Life Church in Tacoma where he has spent the past 5 years in ministry to men and boys through their local discipleship and mentoring program.
Barry Hollmer, Des Moines, WA Barry is a Western Washington native. Growing up, his family attended Boulevard Park Presbyterian Church. As a youngster, he was a Cub Scout and worked his way to Weblos Rank. He committed his life to Christ at age 21 and has volunteered in various church minitries over the past 20 years. Barry has worked for 21 years as a Commercial Press Operator in Kent, WA. He attends Warm Beach Community Church in Stanwood. He became active in working with boys mentoring ministry when in 2003 a young boy asked him to help him build a pinewood derby car. Barry's giftedness is being a servant. One of his favorite quotes is: "A man never stands so tall, as when he stoops to help a boy". Johnnie Barnes
